Policies & Procedures:
 
  1. Students must obediently comply with all policies and procedures of the AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY.
  2. Punctual attendance is to be expected of all students. As long as the student is in AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY, he/she will be under the custodianship of the principal or any assigned teacher.
  3. Parents must pick up and drop off their child(ren) on time:
    • The Madrasah has the right to change class schedules at any time.
    • Parents will be notified of any schedule alterations.
  4. If a student is unable to attend class, it is absolutely necessary to call the Principal/Madrasa office and provide the child with a signed note the following day.
  5. A student’s dress and clothing should adhere to the Madrasah uniform.
    • White topi, white kurta, white trousers for boys.
    • White/BlueHijab and Black/Blue Abaya for girls
  6. Students must bring their own Hifz/Alim/School class supplies, properly prepared.
    • 15 lines Mushaf designed for Hifz course.
    • Books, Pen, Paper/Notebook, etc. for School/Alim Course.
  7. Students are expected to complete their assignments before attending class. Prior assignments must be completed on time to receive the next. Parents are humbly requested to check their children’s assignments daily and assist them if they experience difficulty. A strong, solid educational triangle should exist between students, teachers, and parents. Communication is the key to a student’s growth and development.
  8. Students must respect their teachers as well as fellow classmates. Bullying, vulgar language, dangerous play, or fighting will not be tolerated. They should not be obnoxious or unruly while attending and leaving classes. Consumption of any food/drink (especially gums) is not allowed in classes besides water with prior consent. Teachers will document a student’s conduct, and it will be reported to the principal. Continuous misbehavior will not be tolerated and will result in expulsion. The student will be discharged if problems do not get corrected after three notices.
  9. Should any unfavorable situation arise, teachers have the right to meet with the parents to discuss the matter, and vice versa; however, it must be approached with respect and rationale.
  10. If a student constantly struggles with Qur’an memorization or comprehension and performance of tasks in the Hifz/Alim/School Course, he/she can be discharged to prevent excessive mental pressure and stress.
  11. During class intervals, students should not be disruptive and should seek permission before speaking or asking a question. There should be no disruptive noises or gestures.
  12. Students cannot leave the class without the permission of the teacher.
  13. Initially, for each academic year, registration must be properly submitted for each student, and students must commit to and finish their Hifz/Alim/School program for that year, from beginning to end, unless an emergency should occur.
  14. AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY reserves the right to discontinue the Hifz/Alim/School program for any reason at any time.
  15. Admission fee: Full-Time Hifz/School $100.00 and After-School $30
  16. Monthly fees must be compensated before the 5th of every academic month. Fees can change at any time, but parents will be notified of the reasons. The fees apply to all 12 months of the academic year for all full-time Hifz/Alim/School program vacation time.
  17. A rigorous interview will be held before admitting a student, with his parents. Students and parents should be totally motivated and must commit themselves to completing the Hifz/Alim/School program. Parents are encouraged to do volunteer work for the smooth running of the administrative work.
  18. The selection and rejection of the student for the Hifz/Alim class is finally based on the decision of the Principal of AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY.
  19. Absolutely no electronics viz. cell phones, iPads, etc. allowed within the premises.
  20. Learners should be always respectful towards adults and visitors. Salam should be spontaneous and habitual.
  21. Parents shall properly and completely fill out the admission form.

Acknowledgment Statement by the Applicant:

I, hereby solemnly request that the administration of AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY accept me as a student of this institution. I promise to fully obey all the rules and regulations of AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY and to respect and obey all the teachers and staff. I will also be present and punctual for all class times and programs. I will also work hard to the fullest and will stay away from all vain, wasteful, harmful, and illegal pursuits and activities. Also, I will not leave till I finish the course and/or obtain permission from the administration. Plus, I will keep my outer appearance and dress like that of the righteous. I will try my utmost to never be in such a state that anyone should complain about me. With respect to any legal obligations (if any) regarding my academic education and schooling, I fully understand that I and my parent/guardian, and not AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY, are fully responsible for fulfilling them (e.g., through home-schooling, registering in a private/public school, etc.). I also promise to never hold AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY or any of its teachers, staff, or students responsible in any way for any type of physical, financial, emotional, or mental harm of any kind. Also, I fully realize that I may be reprimanded, suspended, or expelled at any time, for any reason that the administration decides.

Keeping all the above-mentioned in mind, I would like to request admission as a student of AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY.

Statement and Consent of Parent/Guardian:

I, fully swear and promise that the above-mentioned applicant has. according to my knowledge, correctly filled out the above form. Furthermore, I pledge and promise that I will do my utmost to fulfill my responsibilities of supervising; educating, and supporting the applicant in having him follow and obey all the rules and regulations of AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY. I also fully realize, understand, and accept that the applicant can be reprimanded, suspended, or expelled at any time, for any reason whatsoever that the administration decides. Also, I promise to fulfill, any type of legal obligations (if any) regarding the applicant’s academic education and schooling (e.g., through home-schooling, registering in a private/public school, etc.), and not hold AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY responsible in any way whatsoever with regard to this issue. I hereby additionally consent that my kids upon admission to AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY, participate in all AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY activities and I hereby execute the above AGREEMENT, WAIVER, AND RELEASE on his/her behalf. I hereby agree to indemnify and hold AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY (its officers, employees, and agents) free and harmless from any loss, liability, damage, cost, or which they may incur as a result of death or any injury or property damage, that said minor may sustain while participating in said activities. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, WAIVER, AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND CONTRACT BETWEEN AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY AND ME. I SIGN IT OFF MY FREE WLL.

Student’s Pledge:

I, hereby swear by Allah that:

  1. I promise that I will abide by all laws of the Islamic Shariah, and I promise to try and pray all my salaat with jamaat.
  2. I promise to always stay away from those things contrary to the sunnah, and I promise to keep my outward looks and clothing according to the principles of Islamic modesty and will try to resemble the pious people and ulama.
  3. I promise to stay completely away from any type of smoking, drinking, drugs, and any other intoxicants and/or harmful substances.
  4. I will not waste my time in wasteful and useless pursuits or in any type of illegal organization.
  5. I will respect and be polite to all the teachers as well as to all other workers and employees so that none can have a chance to complain about me.
  6. Whatever notices, instructions, or regulations that will be given from time to time, I will follow and obey them fully as long as I am here.
  7. I will not interfere nor hinder any of the administration, nor will I participate in any type of action against AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY.
  8. Along with my efforts and pursuits related to my studies, I will also try to make a full effort to reform myself in terms of akhlaaq (character/behavior) and a’amaal (actions).
  9. AS LONG AS I AM A STUDENT OF AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY, I AUTHORIZE THE PRINCIPAL/PRESIDENT OF AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY, OR TO WHOMEVER HE GIVES PERMISSION TO, THE RIGHT TO COLLECT (IF IN THE CASE THAT I AM ELIGIBLE) ANY ZAKAT AS WELL AS ANY SADAQAH (CHARITY), ETC. OF MONEY OR THINGS ON MY BEHALF. I ALSO AUTHORIZE THE PRINCIPAL/PRESIDENT OF AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY HIMSELF, OR TO WHOMEVER HE DELEGATES, TO USE IT TO FULFILL THE NEEDS OF THE STUDENTS (E.G., FOOD, BOARDING, INSTRUCTION, ETC.) OR TO KEEP IT AS PROPERTY OR AS ‘WAQF’ FOR AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY.
  10. I, myself, along with my parent/guardian, promise to fulfill any type of legal obligations (if any) regarding my academic education and schooling (e.g. through home-schooling, registering in a private/public school, etc.), and not hold AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY is responsible in any way whatsoever with regard to this issue.
  11. I, in consideration for being admitted to AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY and to participate in AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY activities, hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims of damages for personal injury, death, or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of participation in said activities. This release is intended to discharge in advance AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY (its officers, employees, and agents) from all liability arising out of or connected in any way with my participation in said activities, even though that liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. It is further agreed that this waiver and release is to be binding on my heirs and assigns. I agree to indemnify and to hold AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY (its officers, employees, and agents) free and harmless for any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense that they may incur as the result of my death or any injury or property damage that I may sustain while at the premises of AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY and while participating in AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY activities. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS AGREEMENT, WAIVER, AND RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. 1 AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND CONTRACT BETWEEN AL MADINAH ISLAMIC ACADEMY AND ME AND I SIGN IT OF MY FREE WILL.
